You should have only one Spantree Root Bridge. It appears you need to map out your entire Spantree topology. Also, you might want to implement a syslog server to see messages from your switches relative to port changes that can trigger Spantree topology changes. You can try this command (N-Series) or an equivalent command on each switch that is participating in Spantree:
*show spantree priority* (to see the current priority) Use the output to diagram the Root MAC, Root Priority, Root Cost, Root Port and Bridge ID Priority for each switch participating in Spantree. Once you have done this, you can decide which switch you want to be the Spantree Root Bridge as well as secondaries etc then change the Bridge ID priority with this command (N-Series) or an equivalent command on each switch that is participating in Spantree: *set spantree priority* (the lowest number will become the root bridge) If you have a support contract (or not) Enterasys GTAC will be more than willing to help you properly design your Spantree network.
