Hi Jason,

I don't think setting your Root Bridge to zero is a good idea either. Setting
the priority to 4096 should allow you to see if the K6 is competing with
another device for Root Bridge status, under, "show spantree stats". Setting it
to, "0", means it won't compete in the Topology process and this can make
troubleshooting harder.

I'm sure you'll get it sorted out with GTAC fairly quickly though.

Kind regards,

Subject: Re: [enterasys] Multiple Spanning Tree Issues

Hello All,

I will try to respond to all of you:

Darrin - The K6 that we want to be the root bridge has its priority set to 0

Geoff - Using the MSTP info Flexview in Netsight shows all of the switches are
using the same config name. I know that MSTP is enabled by default, but we are
not using it. Thinking of turning back to Rapid Spanning Tree.

Jason - We have a flat network, all switches on same vlan

I am now working with GTAC to resolve this issue.
