I do so simply because my memory is about as efficient as a coffee filter
soaked in cement. I'll often want to go back to a message that discussed a
certain subject but I can't remember who it's from, what the subject was or
where I filed it. So I resort to searching for a key word or two that I know
would be found in the message body.

I'm pretty sure you can do just this with custom views.
