You're not dense. I'm just spouting off before checking to see if it's
actually possible.
My original intent wasn't to prompt for the search string. You would have to
setup a Custom View every time just as you would have to setup an Advanced
Find every time. The Custom View would have looked like:
Item Types = messages
Location = All folders
Criteria:
Folder - is - A OR
Folder - is - B OR
Folder - is - C OR
Folder - is - D AND
Message Body - Contains - search string
I'd, however, forgotten about Entourage's limited boolean operations. Mixing
AND operators with OR operators like this is impossible. It's either all "if
any criteria are met" or "if all criteria are met". It'd be *really* nice if
this were to be changed in a future revision (HINT, HINT!!). Or at least let
a Custom View select other Custom Views as its Item Types!
Same goes for the Advanced Find.
