"Date string of" came in somewhere around OS 8.5 (AS 1.3.4). It's unlikely
that someone's using Entourage with OS 8.1, surely. Is anyone?

Tanaka's osax might be it. Version 2.0 is quite recent, even the 2.0b beta
versions.
