As I've said in a previous message on this topic, I think the problem may
lie in the "in short format" parameter, which worked for "date string for"
but is not present in "date string". I provided a succinct handler written
by Richard23 and shared on the AS list. I'll be reposting the script on my
web site soon, if that version works for people.
