I just recovered from this same problem myself after crashing my G4. I had
trouble with the preferences file, Entourage was reporting an end of file
error. There are a number of prefs files, so the one that did the trick for
me was Microsoft User Data/Office 2001 Identities/Main Identity/Preferences.
Just to be sure, move the file to the trash and then start up Erage. If
that doesn't fix it, you can put the file back.
As mentioned in another message, you'll then have to reenter all your prefs
and accounts.
