I'll also chip in here and say that I use Smile for all my scripts as well.

Apart from the fact that it's free and a great productivity boost, it's
scriptable as well which helps with a few shortcuts :)

Also, it's not just a script editor, but makes for a great scriptable text
editor as well. Many of my scripts are for manipulating humungous text
files, and the fact I can script in smile, edit the files in smile and
script smile to edit the files is GOOD NEWS!
