Aha. Thought so. I could just locate a real folder there, and skirt the
problem entirely. But that would be taking the easy way out!

I have the Documents folder aliased to another HD to conserve space on the
startup disk - it's a little old 500 MB SCSI, and really just holds the
System Folder and nothing else - just aliases. Maybe it's time to scrap this
configuration. Someone told me once it could help to guard against data
corruption (plus I had an extra HD lying around). Is this bunk?
