Actually, I'm now not sure about the templates needing to be in MS Office
folder. When I moved them back, I remembered that I'd done something in
preferences (in Word) and sure enough, there's a place there for where
templates are to be found and you can tell it to look someplace other than
in the templates subfolder. However, I did put Normal back there, and told
Word that's where to look, and it's now opening my Normal template (with
toolbars as they should be etc) but still saving as 98.
