Nah, we're not special. I wasn't looking properly, and you're doing the
wrong thing. You're using Advanced Find or Custom Views, they're just
talking about about the little filter window in the top right of the message
pane in the main window. Advanced Find "From" (no flip of the popup nor any
extra criteria are necessary) works very quickly and accurately, so this
isn't a major problem, just a one-step nuisance when you don't want to have
to go to Advanced Find. The little filter is very handy, and would be even
handier if it looked through email addresses as well as display names (it
only looks at email addresses when there is no display name), although that
would obviously slow it down a bit.
