Well there's the eponymous Mac CallerID:
Caller ID is a way for you to determine who is calling before you answer the phone. Between the first and second rings, the phone company sends information about who is calling. Not all the information is always available, many times the call might have originated from an area that does not support Caller ID. At other times the call may be blocked by the calling party.
