It also says so on the blurb at the MacTopia Office website. $149 instead of
$375 really is a huge savings. And you're entitled to the same $150 upgrade
price to the full Office v. X that users of the full Office 2001 get, I
think. (Or maybe it's only to the equivalent apps, I'm not sure.) And, as
jud said, very few users ever use scripts (silly them). I think it's a very
reasonable marketing decision. They have been charging $275 just for (full)
Word or (full) Excel. At $275, they should get scripting, but for $149? (SE
is also missing VBA in Word.)

I know of at least one other person (I don't think it was Dan M.) who
returned SE and got the full Office 2001 just to be able to use our scripts
(yours and mine). Now if only they gave us a commission... Or maybe that's
what the MVP award is for. (Allen has just been made an MVP, as I was a year
ago.) So marketing seems to have known what they were doing.
