True. There are a few cases when files in a folder can be considered kind of an uber-document. In that case, if the files are numbered, it makes sense. I suppose it also makes sense if you're sorting by some other criteria like size or label (not that labels are supported yet, but maybe someday). > A matter of perspective, but as this functionality is very useful to some > even though apparently useless to others, as it has no detrimental impact on > those who don't use it, it seems better to have it than not. Well, the point is that it *does* have some detrimental effect. Like poor Greg in the corner. :) Honestly, the behavior actually doesn't bother me much on the Mac. I can get used to it and might even come to appreciate it in list view. I ranted because I forgot that Apple had kept the old behavior in icon view. Icon view is where the distinction really matters. My mistake. :) Sent using the Entourage X Test Drive. -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
