Agreed - similarly, what features does Office v.X provide that are
compelling enough to make people want to spend extra money to upgrade to it?

Honestly,  just the ability to run under OS X (only) and to look (arguably)
pretty aren't enough - particularly if both come at the price of perceived
performance losses.

I'm just *really* happy and glad for folks like Paul that realize the need
to interchange data between the two apps, and who provides a solution.

This, unfortunately, is true - Adobe, for example, was terribly hard-pressed
to find additional features to add to Photoshop 7.0, just to warrant
charging for an upgrade. I would figure that other software makers are in a
similar predicament, as many consumers might not see 'just OS X
compatibility" as enough of an incentive to pay for an upgrade.
