Lucida Grande is certainly nice, but the Verdana problem shows up most
noticeably in HTML email messages in which Verdana is the main font. I
generally send plain text myself, but some people send me HTML email and
that's when I notice it (unless they use the contemptuous Arial!).

If it's not a common problem though, it makes me think there might be
something up with my Verdana. I do have the most recent version from MS, but
I should probably investigate to see if there is some old weird version
still lurking and messing me up!
