I'm not having major problems at the moment; in fact, things look really
good and snappy. And, I <think> that I installed SR1 <before> I did the
10.1.5 upgrade; I'm pretty sure but not certain. Anybody else who is running
smoothly who did SR1 before 10.1.5?

I tend to modify the hell out of my system to get every convenience
possible, and, with all my login items and hackies and such installed, after
10.1.5 I had three instance in one day of the Finder simply hanging with the
SROD, where not even Force Quit would work! I had to power off my flat panel
iMac by holding down the power button for about five seconds. If I tried to
quit other programs first (which were still alive and usable), most of them
would also go into the SROD routine, but they would respond to Force Quit
(unlike finder). I suspect that they were somehow waiting on the Finder
which was hung. Or, perhaps it was the Dock that was hung; I don't really
know for sure.

Anyhow, I started up by holding down Shift (starting when the white panel
with the blue progress bar appears, after the "happy mac" disappears) until
startup finished, which bypasses all login items. My Mac seems to be running
fine without the various add-ons. I've added back LaunchBar without problem,
also, and will add the other things back one by one. Things I have disabled
that are still suspect:

Drag Thing
Keyboard Maestro
ASM
Fruit Menu
MaxMenus
Typist
URL Manager Pro
Default Folder
WindowShade X
