Well, you're right, this is quite a load, and I guess I'm not surprised that an older iMac buckles, OS X or not. Could you really run all of these apps simultaneously under OS 9? I frequently run Entourage, Word, IE, Photoshop, and some behind the scenes utilities (MaxMenus, LaunchBar, QuicKeys, FontReserve, etc.), sometimes adding InDesign, Powerpoint, Filemaker, etc. to the mix, though typically not all at the same time. I've never had a noticeable slowdown problem. As I mentioned, though, I'm running on a PowerBook/667 with 768 ram, 40 GB drive, OS X 10.1.5. I don't keep Classic running. Deadline? I'm an academic writer. Deadlines are for laughter. -- Sherman -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
