Yes. Make an outgoing Rule: IF "attachment" "exists" THEN "remove attachment" And move it to the top position if you have any other outgoing rules. > Or, is there some simple way to periodically go into your Sent Mail file and > remove any attachments that have gathered (other than to delete them one by > one). Open your Sent mail folder and click on the Attachment symbol (paper clip). This will sort the folder so that all posts with attachments are at the top of the window. Click on the first post, hold down the Shift key, scroll to the last post that has an attachment, and click on that one. This will select all posts with attachments. Now go to the Message window and click Remove Attachments. > Or... Do the attachments on sent mail not really add any size to your > entourage database? They do add size to your database although merely deleting them will not make the database smaller; the space that was occupied by the deleted material, however, becomes available to be overwritten. I suggest that you delete all the attachments as above and then do a Typical rebuild to compact your database (hold down the Option key while opening Entourage). Then create the outgoing rule to remove attachments automatically in the future. These procedures will reduce the size of your database and keep it trimmer and cleaner . . . and you'll probably find that Entourage becomes speedier. Hope this helps.
