Well, since 4GB is the upper limit of these files, that's why it fails - not
much that I can suggest.

One favor to ask for a future version of E'rage, though - in order to
provide a solution to this, would it be possible to have E'rage support
multiple such files (kinda like it's possible under (ack!) Outlook/Exchange
to have multiple PST files for personal folders.

That way, not only will it be possible to actually people to organize
archive databases, but it will also solve the whole 'how to migrate PST
files' for users on Exchange servers'.

This whole thing is a huge nasty can'0'worms, and it really is starting to
make a very good business case to abandon the MS alternatives. Not a rant,
but actual discussions being waged from some of my clients.
