I knew I overlooked something :-). I was following up on it because I got similar trouble. MLR seem to work fine the with introducing a sophisticated junk mail rule (NOT the inbuilt one) all other rules seemed to go nuts (junk mail rule came last) and the white-list was totally disregarded.
