I have contacted Diane off list and taken up her offer. Her tone and offer is in considerable contrast to some of the ?best minds? who have taken it upon themselves as ?their right? to lecture me. I am a private retired person who bought the G4 and installed OS X precisely so that I would not have problems. I either fix it myself if I can get practical help to do so or give that part of the system away as a dead loss. I am not griping or abusing the list but those members who are prepared to lecture from a great height without offering practical help. Telling me that: Your system is broken. Fix it. Do a clean install and it will fix all. It did not. Do not bother the list with your problems we have more important things to deal with. This by implication by simply not replying to my questions. These are frustrating and I am only using my right to air these problems and nothing more.
