Diane, thanks a lot for your thorough and quick reply. Christmas and New
Years has kept me from replying sooner. Merry and happy seasongreetings to
all :-)

I'll reply below:

I do know that animated GIFS don't show in Entourage. It's not that I would
like them to :-)

My problem is not that I miss the animated GIFS. I actually find them quite
annoying most of the time. The problem is, that when I see a message in my
Inbox, that's slightly larger than the average text-message, then I suspect
my system may crash when I try to open. If it's an HTML-message or one
containing animated GIFS, there's a pretty good chance it will.

If it's another attachment (a jpg, a word-document or something) all is
well.

I have experienced that these crashes don't always happen, though. It
sometimes comes about when the app's been open for a while. If I reboot a
try again they might come out with no trouble. This inconsistency is very
worryinng, I think. Still, I think I can say for sure that it is messages in
HTML-format or messages containing GIFS.

Does that enlighten anybody in the way of helping me get rid of this
problem??

Thanks
Carsten
