I have similar folders and schedules for mail > such as this group list. If you haven't emptied the Deleted Items Folder since you deleted all your mail, it's still in there. If you have emptied it, it's too late, and nothing can be done. I guess you've learned this isn't a very good method, unless you do regular backups. If Retrospect stopped backing up, you should have stopped deleting. If the problem with Retrospect is just that it doesn't open on schedule (Panther problem), then you should do manual backing up and deleting until it's fixed.
