As posted last week, every time I launch Entourage I get an error: "The preferences file could not be opened. Access permission is denied."
I've checked/repaired permissions on the (new) drive, and I've manually verified that all apparent Entourage and Microsoft prefs are read/write. I continue to get the error. Today I finally gave up and trashed the entire Microsoft Office folder, its loose com.microsoft files in ~/Library/Preferences/ and the entire ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/ folder. Then I emptied the trash and rebooted. Then I reinstalled just Entourage; as expected, it asked me for the registration information and I entered it. But when the program launched it not only gave me the same old "access permission denied" error, but it had retained ALL of my old preferences as well!? Is there a preference file somewhere that I'm missing here? Thanks again!
