You're right, Entourage X doesn't have a separate Preferences file.

Me too.  I would've gone to the Microsoft User Data folder, run the Get Info
command, and double-checked the "Ownership & Permissions" settings before
applying them to the enclosed items.  But it sounds like Bill has already
done that, with no success.
