Hello Bruce,

Have you tried to use Office 2004 from the Test Account you have on your
Computer?

You do not have Test Account? Go into System Preferences/Accounts and create
a New User called test.

Log in as this User and try and run Office 2004.

If it runs ok, it indicates some problem in your User Files, probably in the
Users Library Folder.

You have two Options, copy all the Files you have created in your old Users
Folder to the Test Account or create a New User with a new UserName and copy
the Files you have created from your old User Account. Do not copy any
Preference Files across as these may be the problem.

Do not delete the old User Account for several weeks until you are sure
everything works ok. You may need to copy some of the Application Support
type files to your NewUser.
