I would like to offer a suggestion, one that I learned about from LetterRip
Pro, made by Jud Spencer whom I *think* works on e-rage. He made the
LetterRip files locateable in more than one location. So with E-rage,
perhaps make the User Data folder allowed to live in ~/Library/Application\
Support/Microsoft/. I could then config a user account and have this user
data folder somewhere that they won't "see" it.

The procedure for moving it is described in the Entourage readme. If users just move it, Entourage won't know where it goes.

And that is precisely my problem with this. Many people do not feel
comfortable installing s-ware, so they hire others to do it. Apple Store
now offers it as a free service. In the case of me installing, I can in
some situations warn the user about what not to move, in some cases they are
not even available. In the case of the Apple Store, I can assure you this
info will not get passed along.

If there were simply alternate locations where E-rage looked for its data
folder, then a savvy person who knows that a client will tend to want to
move the data folder, could pro-actively deal with this situation with no
communication to the user.

Couldn't the savvy person do this by following the instructions in the readme?
