If there were simply alternate locations where E-rage looked for its data folder, then a savvy person who knows that a client will tend to want to move the data folder, could pro-actively deal with this situation with no communication to the user.
Couldn't the savvy person do this by following the instructions in the readme?
They could, but again, it involved a alias, which is visible, and that would end up having a chance of getting moved as well. I still need to test the invisible alias and symb linking method.
I think you can also put the alias in the Preferences folder, and that'll work too.
