Hmmmmm. Are you sure about this? When I export my email to FileMaker, FileMaker is able to search the database very fast. The database isn't that much bigger. Also, it's clear that the Find interface needs some serious improvement. As others have said, it's annoying as hell to change the pop-up menu from (say) subject to email address and have the term you just entered change.
