Huh. I thought of that, but literally forgot that this script saved the browser in a property. This failure to save properties is a really sucky problem because it's hidden. Of course, Paul, it only affects scripts that save properties (as many of ours, yours especially, do). I suppose we could start writing scripts that save their properties in a .plist file, using Late Night's XML osax...but then everyone would have to download the osax. Alternatively, we who own Script Debugger could always post pre-compiled scripts on our web sites and just give the URL for download. For those who don't own SD...maybe we could persuade Mark Aldritt to provide a web page where people could paste in their script and have a compiled version mailed to them. Maybe even you or I could do that...no, wait, we have to host the web page on our Macs. Never mind, I don't care to do that. The newsgroup isn't a great solution since messages expire rather quickly there. Besides, only those who own SD could compile the scripts for posting. No, a more universal solution is demanded. I really think the MBU should include the conditional code so compiled scripts will work for both Panther and Jaguar. Or, Apple should fix Script Editor so it does the same thing as Script Debugger. People should not have to struggle to runs scripts, and scripters should not need different versions for Panther and Jaguar. -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
