My 2004 Data file (in Microsoft User Data) is 918 MB. My problem is that when backing up (I follow my G%'s suggestions of creating a .dmg file) the file becomes 1,000 MB. Too large for a CD. So I archive it via the Finder tool bar, and it turns into 463 MB - so I can file it on disk.
My question: what can I do to make the data file smaller and more manageable? I have been following your discussions, but think I am a few steps behind in terms of where you guys are starting the debate.
