Yeah, agreed, though it is always inbound. Not uncommon for me to see 10MB of "drunk weekend" photos pass through the girlfriends inbox. 52 weekends in a year, yeah, it ads up :-) Ill tell you what would be nice, "store attachments offline" or something in Entourage, Claris Emailer did this.
