Repairing permissions, generally speaking, is useful for fixing issues
caused by bad installers. It's a good idea to run a permissions repair after
software installations (Drag installs don't count as they don't affect any
filesystem permissions). Unless you're in the habit of installing software
daily, you don't need to repair permissions.
