For the last month or so I have been getting the spinning wheel while incoming mail is being received. When mail is received, Entourage freezes for a couple of seconds, then the wheel appears and it stays frozen until all mail is retrieved (sometimes a long time). While retrieving mail I am not able to type, open/close messages, or do anything in Entourage. Maybe this is normal, but I don¹t recall this happening in the past...seemed like I could still read/write email while retrieving email in background.
I did a full rebuild a while back and it may have started around that time, or maybe not. I thought it might be something wrong with rules, but I turned them off and it didn¹t seem to matter. I also have about 7 or 8 Mailing List Manager entries...could it be one of those? Latest versions of everything. Spam filter set to highest setting. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks, Dan Dixon
