Most likely you have a rule that is moving the messages. Check the
destination folder for the Mailing List Manager (MLM) rules and your Custom
Rules. Remember rules run from the top down as they are listed. MLM rules
run before Custom rules so check them first.

Try this rule for your father after you assign category ³Family² to his
contact in Entourage¹s Address Book.

>From is in category Family

Move message to folder xxx

Add this Action is you want an audio notification for his email.

Run AppleScript  Script (select script)

See this page for using custom sounds with Entourage. You can even create
your own sounds or use computer voices to announce your mail. For example,
you could have the AppleScript say ³Mail from Dad².
