I'm going to guess that you have configured MacMail not to leave mail on
the server. When it connects, it receives the mail and then deletes it
from the server. So when Entourage goes to check for new mail, it's no
longer on the server for it to receive.

I'm really not sure what your forwarding issue is. Entourage 2004 will
display some attachments in the message window. But when you send
(including forwarding), it does not. The attachments are still there
(you'll see them in the list of attachments in the middle of the message
you're composing) but they do not display. There is no need to "forward as
attachment" as someone else suggested.

Whether or not the recipient automatically sees the attachment is
controlled by their mail program. There is nothing you can do to control
that.
