George: You're right. Thanks for pointing that out. Of course, that's fine. The original discussion was about booting from something OTHER than the usual boot hard drive (DiskWarrior's CD). However, my experience is there's a significant number of Mac OS X users who will on occasion use the Disk Utility on the install disk and in the case of permissions repair, all versions of OS X Disk Utility are definitely NOT interchangeable. And in the case of Leopard, the older versions are downright destructive. Regards,
