Thanks Michel, your info is very helpful. I had previously deleted the .me
account but I added it back without the receiving info so that I can send
email using that address if I want. The outgoing rules are also working
great.

The only thing I still don't understand is why deleted messages get moved to
the inbox when I click on the IMAP deleted messages folder. I'm guessing
that the rule to move incoming messages to the inbox treats these deleted
messages as "incoming" or something. Is there some way to prevent this?
