Ed,

Of course I will help you, but I am now at least next two months so
busy, that I wouldn't like to do any duplicate work. So, could we do
so, that we tell immediately what we have found either public here in
the ENTS forum or by e-mails?

I think we could start by defining requirements for an old growth
area. Minimum size, how natural it has to be etc. To pick only
national lists with Google may not be very reliable. For example, in
Germany a forest with couple of dead trees is very easily said to be
"ein unberührter Urwald" (an untouched ancient forest).

Unfortunately my knowledge about Slavic languages is so minor, that I
am barely able to pick information from east european websites, if
they have been written only with a local language. Perhaps Jeroen can
more.

And unfortunately I am in the moment so busy, indeed, that I cannot do
massive search operations. From the end of March I have more time.

Kouta
