You are right. The main problems are:
1. Forests are too effectively managed.
2. Protected areas in the southern Finland are too small. The forest
industry says 14% of Finland's land area is under some kind of
protection, but forget to say the large protected areas are
exclusively in the north and only 1.4% of the forests in southern
Finland are protected.

Btw, if I remember correctly, you wrote earlier (maybe half year ago)
you were going to visit Białowieża National Park. Were you there? How
were your impressions?
