Thanks for all of your comments. I'm expecting the lens and
tele-converter to work. I may have to use manual focus now and then.
I plan shoot a test roll with slide film before my 14 day return
policy ends. The lens was only $329 from cameraworld.com. That's
pretty good for an L lens - even an old one.
By the way, I'm planning on using Fuji HPH 400 while I'm in Kenya.
I'm also thinking of getting a Bogen 3444 Carbon Fiber tripod with a
3262QR Medium Ball Head.
I briefly considered getting a Sigma 170-500mm F5-6.3 APO Aspherical,
but the lens just seems too big and heavy to be practical.
