If I go to someone else's home and they ask me not to smoke, I have 2
choices:

   1) Don't smoke when I'm in their house.

   2) Don't go to their house.

I don't raise a stink about them denying me my rights, I don't lecture them
on the lack of proof of danger from second-hand smoke, and I don't barge in
and smoke anyway.

To do so would mark me as an arrogant, self-important boor.
