Paul, I like you and agree with you, but I don't want to see you off
this list. However, rule one states that you never, ever make the listowner
angry - far better to negotiate off the list with him :)
I'm thinking though, that to be fair, if a photographer puts his webpage
address in a sig block, and he makes money through that webpage, would not
that constitute commercial content? I see lots of photogs on here that do
exactly that. In fact when I get a webpage I hope to do the same thing. I
will do this in the hopes that more people visit my page, therefore more
chance of making money in my business of photography. I hope there's no
problem with that...
See example below I just grabbed from a message recently -not to single
this one out, it was just the first one I saw.

Let's face it we all like to do a little plug for our photo business if
we have one - if the plug is for some credit thingy, it doesn't bother me as
long as it's small.
Now, back to EOS content, I just got back my first photos with my new
EF20-35 lens, and wow, 20mm is fantastic! I took a bunch of close ups of
dogs (hey, I was at a dog group day party), and some scenics were also great
looking. I took some available light shots inside using houselights, mostly
florescents using Fuji Superia Reala 800, and the colour balance looks
natural - in fact put beside some flash shots there's no difference. I don't
think they had to be printed way off balance either, cause the negs look
normal, the same as the flash negs beside them.
To add some details here, florescent lighting is the norm in Japan.
There's not an incandescent in the house, but I think they are about as
daylight as florescents can get. A bowl of fruit in one shot showed truly
realistic colours too.
Also, I tested the omnibounce with 380EX at 20mm and find excellent
flash coverage as well. Boy 800 film sure is nice for available light, and
grain is pretty darned excellent too.
