Well I haven't heard anything (not that I would from anywhere else but
this list... :-) But people have been asking this same question for many
years now. Always there are rumours that maybe someday, but... no-one
knows, maybe 70-200L is already so complicated that adding another lens
group (IS) it would be hard to keep up the optical quality. Who knows? If
you want the lens, just buy it. The rumours about the 70-200IS haven't
changed at all in all these years.
