But if you look at the design on the 70-200L... it's a bit more
complicated than prime (even if it's 300 f/2.8). Of course it's hard to
make the 300mm f/2.8 lens, but I think that's more to do with the
manufacturing process. The 70-200L has many more lenses and lens groups in
it.
