Probably  ;o)
Think hard about the comparative cost.
If you try the kenko and it fails ... money is down drain.

The key issues to me are the efficiency of the electrical contact
(lens-ring 1 and body - ring 2) and the mounting of rings to bellows.

It could work:  the Novoflex ones *do* work ... and are well made  ;o)

Think about connections on bellows.  Best for EOS are probably M42
(Pentax screw), Leica screw or is desparate FD.
The reason is availability and price of adapter rings.

Short mount just means shorter mount.  It means the excess gubbins
between the lens and the camera body are missing:  ie they are
designed to work only on bellows.  the enable a lower minimum
magnification.  Forget about this for Canon EOS.  It is irrelavent.
EOS lenses don't come in short mount unless you drop them.  Nikon used
to produce short mount lenses for its ACE bellows.
