Personally, three things would finally persuade me to buy the 70-200 f2.8. 1: if they gave it IS (a glaring omission from the range) 2: if the tripod collar came fitted as standard. (which makes the absence of IS even less understandable) 3: if it came in black instead of that pathetic white colour. But it would then be a great lens. Bob, Do you prefer pathetic red, or pathetic pink or any other pathetic color? Cosmetic is really so important? Most of us have used Canon lenses without IS, Nikon owners do still, and some of us taking nice pics. Take advantage of what you have.
