Uhhhhhhh, really?  As I watch football on TV, I see a lot more "big
whites" than the other color.....

Have you ever spent an afternoon in the sun with a camera?  Not in a
shaded area, but like at a race track where there is no shade.  Just hot
sun beating down on the racing scene.  The white lenses stay a lot
cooler than the black bodies.....  Maybe Canon should come out with
white bodies too.
