The advertising slogan goes ...

                         "If anyone can, Canon can".

Maybe then the answer on this is that they can but WILL NOT, leaving
Nikon yet again as the brand leader.


The only real reason for most photographers wanting white lenses is so
others can see their lenses are white.  Err, polar bear stalkers aside
that is  ;o)
